Our Leadership Team

  • Past President Deb

Deb has been a member of our chorus for 30 years. She has held many hats over those years. She has been a member of a few quartets including the competing quartet, “Shiraz”. Deb has been a chorus Director and is a past President. Deb is currently a dual member with the Lions Gate Chorus in Vancouver, BC.

  • President

Erin brings energy, creativity, and a strong vision to her role as our new President. A talented Lead singer and proud second-generation chorus member—her mom Joan has been part of our family for many years—Erin combines a deep love of barbershop with outstanding organizational skills. As a full-time professional, she still finds time to be a driving force in our chorus, blending efficiency with fresh ideas. She leads our choreography and oversees our social media presence, helping to share our music and message with the community. We are confident in her leadership and excited for the future under her guidance!

  • Vice President Donna

Donna has been with Desert Sounds for 20 plus years. She has been a hardworking member of our chorus particularly helping us with our costuming and amazing positive spirit and energy! She is a retired school teacher who has been singing in choirs and choruses since her own school days. In 2004, she discovered barbershop singing and instantly knew she had to be part of these harmonies. Nearly 20 years later, she is still singing strong—and making sure everyone else is, too! She has worn just about every hat from Section Leader of the Leads to Costume Coordinator, Rah-Rah Committee Leader, Fundraising, Member of the Board, and most recently, Audition Coordinator and Web Administrator.

  • Communications Coordinator Jamie

Jamie is a newcomer to Desert Sounds and Sweet Adelines International, but she has been a singer and musician her entire life. Since joining the chorus two years ago, Jamie has served as vice president and membership chair.

In addition to her current duties in coordinating all communications and keeping the Board’s correspondence and documents organized, she assists our Lead Section Leader in ensuring the lead section in our chorus is reaching its full potential and creating a beautiful melody within our chorus.

  • Treasurer Tracey

Tracey is the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our chorus financially in tune! She is responsible for managing the financial health and integrity of the chorus. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing budgeting and expenses, and ensuring that the chorus complies with all financial policies and reporting requirements. Tracey works closely with the board and other committees to support the chorus’s goals. Tracey is responsible for our bass section of the chorus but we are very grateful that she can also handle the numbers so we can focus on singing.
